[iPod nano] Black Screen. Music Still On?

Hey Guys,

My iPod is wokring 100% fine now... but I had a weird problem when I was in Florida one night. I was plpaying around with it and my brotehr asked to use it. Being the smart ass I am (tsk tsk tsk) I put the lock on it and said "Yeah SUre, here." Soo after he scrwed around for a minute or so trying to find the code, I put the correct code in and it was back into the iPod main menu. At this time though, the music seemed to be skipping almost like a cd player from the 90s for maybe 15 seconds and then itw ent back to normal. Next, I went to show him the Photo features, only to see that the photos were nopt aapearing just yellow boxes with a yellow square in the middle. So, I went and clicked an image and suddenly my screen was black with the music still playing. Soo I pressed menu and it didn'ts end me back. I pressed every key about 12 times, even meshing my hand on the keypad trying to get it back and nothing happened, the song continued to play regardless and the screen black. Bieng under warranty, I decided to just shove it in my pocket and deal with apple when I came home the next day. About an hour later I checked my iPod and it was fine... no problems. Sooo my question is that is normal? and should I send it to or call apple?

Thanks,
Ryan

all you probably had to do was restart the iPod.. things crash..

Hold down Menu and center button next time.

It happens, if it occurs often it could mean a sign of hardware failure, but if it happens once in a while, its nothing unusual.

I don't think crashes in general are "common".. they just happen..

Today my U2 iPod's screen froze, but continued playing music until I force reset it.. all the buttons were unresponsive. Doesn't mean that my iPod is broken, just a glitch.
