| [Other] VOIP features problem
Hello,
I am having an issue with some voip features not working when I have my ATA connected behind the router. If I bypass the router, everything works great so I know the router is blocking some traffic. I've tried putting the ATA ip into the dmz but still no luck.
Interestingly, I have an old smc 7004abr router and using this with the ATA behind the router, everything works. Again, I have to put the ATA ip in the dmz but it works fine. How does it work through this cheap router but not through the my asus wl500g?
Unfortunately, I don't know which ports the ATA is using. It's a Grandstream HandyTone 486. I've tried opening ports 5004, 5060, 8000-8012, and 10000 but still no luck.
Specifically, it's the voice mail indicator light on the ATA and use of the call waiting feature results in only a one way voice path which are my problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
