| Linksys WRTGS routers gone bad, now what?
We used to recommend the GS series Linksys routers for wired/wireless home routers until they came out with new hardware that apparently sucks.
What are people selling/recommending their residential clients use for a router?
I'm looking to find two types:
1. El Cheapo that by some miracle has a low failure rate. 2. Delux model that is still relatively cheap and can correctly prioritize VoIP traffic.
Both must play nice with the 2.4 GHz spectrum.
Any ideas? |

| vendors change chipsets on whim
Taiwanese companies Realtek and ADMtek are making the new "cheaper" SoHo routers engines ... Micrel or Texas Instruments (TI) chipsets or Broadcom make better engines for a few dollars more ...
sadly, you have to google a lot or even open up a test unit to see which model uses what chipset. |

| reply to IntraLink Check out the WRT54GL. It's basically a WRT54G v4. Not a GS, but maybe it will do?
