Janice and I agree...a BIG thanks to all. For so much that can't be spoken and so much that can't be described in words. We were both too young to remember the anguish the country felt when Kennedy was assassinated, but old enough now to better comprehend the enormity of it, although the events that precipitated this forum are so much more enormous. Thanks to those that shared their hearts, and thoughts, and feelings, whether we agreed or not. It's great to be a part of a community that thinks sensibly and intelligently, and to see not one person shot down for their views. That's what respecting diversity is all about. May this respect for others carry forward for all of our days.

GOD BLESS AMERICA

It sounds dumb but this forum and DSLreports in general has been a great comfort during this time. Even when DSL was down, I was spending my hours on dialup reading and getting informed and connected by everyone.
Thanks.

  Doesn't sound dumb to me!!!!!!!
Mostly we hear about how to handle/help the children.
We have to remember ourselves, and this place, not just this forum but all of DSLR
has helped me in ways that will never be known.
Among others, just being able to reach out and talk to people all around the world right here
has been a great comfort to me.
THANK YOU, to everyone at DSLReports

Doesn't sound dumb to me, either. This forum helped me cope when I had no more tears.

I had family in NYC at the time of the attacks (uncle works for Verizon, and you could see the Verizon building right in front of the WTC during every news broadcast), and I tell you, those few hours of not knowing was the absolute worst. I would say even a little worse than the first hour after my father's death - because at least I knew what happened to my dad.

Thankfully everyone in NY is alright (the attacks were too early in the morning to affect them, thank god). Being able to express my thoughts on here, and discussing with intelligent people, has really helped. I'm not as paranoid now as I was a week ago.

Thank you Justin for putting this forum up, and now I agree - the time has come for it to end and for us to go back to "normal" - a new normal.

Thanks everyone, and God bless.
