I was in a class that was being paid for by my work. Went ahead and selected "work" since I was getting paid. I first heard about it from someone in the SETI forum. Tried to get to any of the news sites but could not get anywhere. DSLR was about the only place I could get the information about what was going on.

Anon | I had just gotten into F block chemistry (stupid rotating schedule) and the TV was on, tuned to cnn. i just looked at the tv screen in disbelief. this was a little after 8:30 central and the buildings had not collapsed. |

I was at home sick that day. I was saying goodbye to my wife and kids. She was going to drop my daughter off at daycare and my son off at pre-school. After that I headed down to by home office and was on the DSLR site until 10:30.
I was in the forums thinking that it was pretty dead in here. I almost put up a post in the F@H forum, but I just happened to click on the DSLR homepage and saw the New York in Chaos story. I was in disbelief, so I tried the cnn.com site, but I could not get to it. I then tried msn.com and saw the picture of the second attack.
My wife called from work about 30 seconds later. After that I went upstairs to get the coverage on TV.

I was in Cleveland OH on business. I had just walked into the company I was visiting right after the first plane struck. There were people gathered around TV sets all over their offices. It was shock, horror and disbelief when I saw the second plane hit.
I felt it best to call home to my family and wake them to turn on the TV. I hoped the news was a little easier to take coming from me rather than a newscaster.

I was at home, late leaving for work as usual. On the train I overheard someone say a plane hit the WTC. Someone else said two planes. Someone else said a plane crashed in PA, and someone else said they heard a plane hit the Pentagon. I thought -- naw, that's just too unbelievable. It wasn't till I got to work and turned on a television that I learned it was all true. It was the darkest day in my lifetime.

I was in bed... my Mom woke me up just as they started to put it on tv. I watched the second plane hit, live. I hopped on dslr, right before I left for school. Both towers went down before I left.

I was at home sleeping...well..I was suppose to be up and getting ready for school...anyways..mom woke me up and was like "BIG NEWS!!! Wake up!! World trade center has been hit by terrorists" I was still half asleep when I saw the news on TV.
