| Re: Most companies have caps; official or unoffici Since my first (non-school) broadband account (Road Runner, Summer 2001), I have never seen a regular (read: DSL/Cable, NOT verizon's wireless access) broadband service advertised as unlimited. That isn't to say that it doesn't exist... I am by no means omnipresent. I've had Road Runner in Birmingham, AL, Charter in Birmingham, AL, Road Runner in Fort Hood, TX and Optimum Online in Lakewood, NJ; not one ever described their service as unlimited. The only thing I have seen published was a speed; never a volume.
I do agree... a company should ONLY use the word "unlimited" if that TRUELY means unlimited; read: no TOA/etc limiting what can be used. |
