Your System - November 2005

Post your system specs if you've built/bought a new system during the month of November.

If you've changed your system, put "ADDED" next to the new component(s).

If you haven't changed anything - don't post!

Re: Your System - November 2005

So far:

Case: ASpire X Q-Pack Black with Blue bezel small form factor case

Motherboard: Biostar T-Force 6100 socket 939

Processor: AMD 3500+ Winchester core

Ram: (Not Bought Yet) Will be 2 gig of PC3200, probably Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 2GB kit

Videocard: (Not Bought Yet) Looking for an ATI X800GTO or X800GTO2, will utilize onboard video until that is found.

Harddrives: (2) Western Digital 8mb cache 7200rpm 120GB (will be configured to RAID 0)

PowerSupply: Replacing existing ASpire 420 watt powersupply with powersupply from my current system. Thermaltake 480 watt.

Heatsink: (Not Bought Yet) Zalman CNPS7700-CU 120MM (Yea, the baddest one Zalman has... going for silent here too!!

Soundcard: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS

Monitor: Samsung 191T 19" LCD

Of course I will be going overboard on the cleanliness of the install on this system. Am shooting for no visible wiring, and what wiring that is visible will be kept to a minimum (I'm talking drilling holes in case supports to run wires, splicing powersupply wires to get rid of extra length, etc.) Will try to post pics once I start making good headway.

Existing system

Case: Lian-Li (PC-65?) Custom fleckstone paint on front bezel

Motherboard: Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with Trats BIOS

Processor: AMD 2500+ Mobile. (Able to reach 2.61ghz)

Ram: Same as above, just 1gb instead of 2gb

Videocard: Powercolor 9800 Pro with Arctic Cooling aftermarket heatsink and fan (For Sale)

Harddrives: Same as above

Heatsink: Thermalright SLK-900 w/92mm Tornado

Soundcard: Same as above

Monitor: Same as above
