| reply to Hank Re: Anyone using SunRocket VOIP with ZyWall5
Well, the Gizmo adapter has problems when I put it behind my Z2 router. People would call and I wouldn't hear a ring most of the time. Someone here said they got it to work with the Z2, but he had to change some settings, plus he didn't have the Gizmo for long anyways. I have Vonage right now, which works behind my router without changing anything. -- Cox gave me the speed I wanted, so no more dreaming of DSL...humm, got fiber? |

| Tekkanano - Thanks for the feedback. Shootist I think you're right I'll be the first to play with it. I will report back. Vervegroup, for professional reasons I prefer not to continue to utilize a Verizon service. If SunRocket does not work out, I'll have to give Cox Digital Telephone a shot. But for $200 per year and all equipment furnished I'll give it a shot. I would like to see these former MCI guys do well. |

| Received their equipment today. Nothing special for setup. Connected their GIZMO VOIP router into one of the LAN ports on the ZyWall5. Immediate connection with SunRocket. So far the voice quality is very good both ways. The free Uniden phones are a plus for this deal. We'll see what things are like in a few days. No further updates in this forum, may be some in the VOIP forum. |
