Behold! The new DIY FAQ!
Unfortunately, I can't make a new FAQ category for DIY fixes, but I have added it as a single FAQ entry in the Quick Tips area of the FAQ.
I hope that we can use this thread for contributions. If you have any DIY links that aren't already widely covered in the FAQ, please post them here so that we can add them!

| Make your auto extension tubes and auto teleconverters work on manual focus lenses. Don't turn everything completely to the last little click at the camera body. That is risky so I use the other method of putting a little piece of tape over the contacts on the TC or extension tube.

That would be the one. There is also, I think one that is sort of a followup on that one, where somebody else made a bit more basic one, but I don't think that thread has as much or as significant content as the one you posted above.
