Theres something not right with the comcast email lately. Got two completely blank emails today from unknown senders and I'm getting duplicates of other emails.

Re: [Split] [E-mail] Blank emails from unknown sen

I have been seeing the same e-mails coming in from Comcast lately also.

Date: Sun, 30 Oct 2005 02:29:24 +0000 (GMT)
X-Comment: Sending client does not conform to RFC822 minimum requirements

When I look at the headers, that is all I can see.

I got two of these in July, one in August, one in September, two on 10/16, and now six on 10/28 and 10/29. It's all spam.

I'm getting those too. Three in the past two days. What about those ads for Rolex Watches, and the one that comes in every day two or three times for Levitra, Cialis and Viagra with the nonesense paragraph, bogus name, and . I get those at least two or three times a day each, and report them as spam. So far three month later, Comcast hasn't stopped them. New ones today are qualified mortgage, got two of those. Anyone have suggestions to stop these?

My e-mail this morning had 5 of those in it?
The only way I have found to stop the Rolex and get it up ads are with a spam filter program. It appears that comcast doesn't care too much about stopping spam.

I've had comcast.net email accounts for over a year now and never receive spam through any of them. Of course, I chose email names that would be difficult to guess and now guard them jealously.

I just set up a new comcast account, and I am going to see how long it takes to get spam on it.

I have gotten 3 of these blank emails in the last 24 hours and gotten a few others in the past few weeks. It's getting pretty annoying now.

less than 1 hour from creation, new account is getting spam. I did not post it, did not send anyone anything with it.

Re: [Split] [E-mail] Blank emails from unknown senders

I've been getting a TON of these too! The first ones came in on 10/27. WTF is going on here? I thought it might have been my anti-virus software going crazy, but apparently not.

The frequency of these emails seems to be increasing and it's starting to get annoying... Anyone have any clues as to what's up here?

I'm curious how Comcast would respond to that? You should let them know and then tell us their response.

Has anyone found a spam filter that works with these particular emails? Has anyone else had difficulty deleteing them? I sometimes have to do a restart and then delete them. Thanks

Well, I sent a message about 5 minutes after I read your post, and no reply from Comcast support yet. I highly doubt they will ever reply.

Popfile, once it's trained, has always caught them in the past for me. Someone out there has been going nuts sending spam for the last 3 days or so, I've gone from 5 a day to 50 in the box that gets spam.

Thunderbird has no problem filtering these as spam.

Most likely, the response will be "form letter"

Comcast has sure gotten worse over the past 6 months. Guess it's time to dump them.
