I can't load this site!?! Arghh!

www.jacquielawson.com

I don't go there much but when I receive a card notification I open it and reply.

Problem is, I haven't been able to access this site for about a week. I have clicked on the URL in the email and typed it in manually. To my knowledge, I have not been banned.

I am p!$$@d I cannot figure this one out on my own. So, I am asking for any help or ideas. This is popular website and I know it is not down. I use Qwest DSL behind a 1524, nothing fancy. I have tried loading just her home page using IE 6, Firefox 1.07 and Opera 8.02 and its always a No Go.

(Second thought, lately, I have been religious about updating my Spywareblaster and Spybot SnD. I also use popup blockers enabled in IE and FF. Possibly related?)

Site works ok for me. Try deleting all your cookies and temp internet files and see if that makes a difference. If not, there are other alternatives.

I rebooted router & pc, purged cookies and cache in IE and FF, unfortunately no change. This is weird.

Edit-

Hmmm, maybe I found something here? I just tried to ping jacquielawson.com and got a fast response but this doesnt look right. It looks like this site is on a block list of some sort?

the site appears to be routed to localhost/loopback......

127.0.0.1 is reserved and points right back at your computer, but since you are not running an http server, you get a "page is not displayed"....

the short response time is because the signal is never leaving your computer.

I recommend you check your hosts file (maybe you installed a hosts file that blocks advertising and it also has this site blocked) , local firewall, router, ISP or network admin.

Thank you Pretorious and kbzero for your comments. Turns out I AM running hpgurus host file, last updated 7-05, and I just clipped the following entry-

127.0.0.1 jacquielawson.com
127.0.0.1 www.jacquielawson.com

Problem solved? Let me give it a try...

Edit-

I am IN now. Problem solved. Thanks again! I wonder why this site made the list???

your welcome

There are a lot of legit sites that make the list in your case there are many unscrupulous greeting card sites out there, so the bad ones and the good ones hit the list!
