[SunRocket] Sunrocket - Cannot Make International Calls Today

I can make US domestic calls and receive inbound calls. However, I cannot reach any non-US number I am trying today. Get fast busy signal. Normally no problems. Have reported to online customer service who have opened a trouble ticket. Recycled gizmo..no impact.

Re: [SunRocket] Sunrocket - Cannot Make International Calls Toda

Just wondering; did you just recently get pushed a new firmware?
I did see sunrockets new dial plan:
DIALPLAN=(>#|911|411|611|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|x.T|*x.T)
DIALPLANTIMER=4

What are the first 7 digits that you are calling?

Int'l has worked fine all morning. Called Germany, Greece and Australia for family catch-ups.

by the way, alicat and georgepan, are your numbers original sunrocket numbers? because mine was ported over from packet8 to sunrocket.

If you are having this issue, then you may want to look at a fix that I posted that cured a different issue but might be related.
»[SunRocket] Inbound calls down
I didn't check to see if I could make international calls before fixing mine and it would be too much trouble to put everything back and retest.
If this does cure the issue please let us know.
Thank you.

My number is an original Sunrocket number I have had for about 6 months. This is the first time I have not been able to dial internationally.

I tried this procedure. No luck. I think I followed it accurately. When I booted up gizmo after the disconnected step the mgmt light only flashed once...not sure if that means I failed.

Go to »192.168.251.1 and enter welcome in the box. It will log you into your gizmo and show the firmware that you are currently using.

Re: [SunRocket] Sunrocket - Cannot Make Internatio

Do you know how to set DIALPLANTIMER via unlocked gizmo web or telnet interface?

It should mean that it checked your Cfg file and didn't see a change in the cfg date since the last time it checked. If it doesn't see that date change it will not read the cfg file because it thinks that it is the same as the last time it did read the entire file.
It should have read it and blinked a couple of times if the default procedure took hold. I don't recommend doing the default procedure more than once unless the gizmo has been rebooted at least twice and gotten dial tone since the last default attempt.

You should not have any need to do this. If the gizmo is on 4.57.41 firmware and the new dial plan is loaded then DIALPLANTIMER=4 will already be loaded.
DIALPLANTIMER=4 is new and my guess is that it is part of that firmware/dialplan upgrade. I have not tested what it does. My guess is that it was an after fix to take care of another issue that would have required the use of more T's in the plan. T= ~4 seconds (or after 4 sec. then force the string to cause a dial command).

Personally I like the dial plan that I configured for my personal use. I don't like having to wait after I dial. Mine works the same way Pots works around here. Realize that New Hampshire (603) and Maine (207) use one area code per state.

If someone knows about DIALPLANTIMER=4 please feel free to let me know.
Thank you.

I have the need... If the dialplan has "xxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx", gizmo accepts only the first 7 digits dialed even if I dialed 10 digits.

Knowing a little bit about how dial plans work on the gizmo:
If your dial plan is "xxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx", then your not going to be making too many successful calls. That is a bad set of strings and aren't open and closed correctly.

If you need help then ask. Placing DIALPLANTIMER=4 into your gizmos setting just isn't going to help.
Sorry.

Edit: ROFL :D:D
Not trying to be rude but...
I just can't help but ask 'who laid that dial plan on you?'

I am still unable to place international calls and do not understand all the discussion about dialplans here. I don't know how to establish what plan I am on. I can get into the gizmo web screens but cannot see any settings about that.

Re: [SunRocket] Sunrocket - Cannot Make International Calls Toda

Nedved2000-

My number was ported from Verizon. I also tried from my original Sunrocket "signature" number. It works everytime. Called 3 different countries this morning. Maybe what voiplover mentions is correct, perhaps the firmware upgrade messed something up?

Alicat9, I sent the directions for checking your ver. firmware in an IM.
What firmware is your gizmo on?
