Why Tor

If you read the EFF non-technical background, you'll see that Tor is actually used by the Navy and by some law enforcement agencies. It does not exist for the purpose furthering p2p and EFF is not promoting it as such. The author of this article is ill-informed and his bias is revealed in his "reporting." All of this is really a non-issue, though, as Tor really is slower than molasses in December. I was interested in Tor and used it for a short time. It was so slow that it was like paying broadband rates for dialup connections.
