Nonsense! Most of the countries represented at the UN are third world countries. While we were putting men on the moon, building the first computers, and designing the IEEE specs for the ethernet that was being put into practice, most of these UN represented people had never yet seen so much as a telephone.
That doesn't make them any less entitled to have a say in matters that concern them.

Poor people are allowed to participate in the democratic process in America. Poor countries are are given the same liberty on UN councils. I see no problem here.

I'm not a parrot for those who hate the UN but in this case the UN seems to want this far too much.

A telephone.? Most don't have electricity or any moden day appliances.Thatch huts in a jungle, May..may be equipped with tin cans and string for the tribe elders.

Much of the world remained with 18th and 19th century technology if they have any at all.
Exactly! Were it not for the US, they would still be in 18th-19th century.

It's that pickle smoker coffi annon, who is to blame.F*ck him and the UN horse he rode in on.

I think BBR is lobbying for a UN takeover.

The UN can't do anything right, how do they expect to run the internet?
Name one example of something the ITU "hasn't done right".

Name one example of ITU corruption.

Name one example of something the ITU has done over the objection of the U.S. delegation to the ITU.
