You could try deleting the rules associated with the browser or other software that you use to access your web mail client, and then start the program again.
NIS will ask you how to let the program access the internet, just choose Permit Always and try accessing the client to see if it works.

Also, if you are using a browser, check to see what settings you have set for Java Applets.
Another thing, disable the Windows Firewall if you haven't already.
