That's all you have to do. Factory reset and unlock it.

So inshort, I can go from 3.19 Lsc to sipura and from sioura to 3.13. I can access the admin in 3.13 and in sipura. I can even read the 64bit (bad file) GPP_K file. Now as suggested when I upgrade it to 3.16 and do a factory reset,I lose my admin access.
If you went from Linksys 3.1.9 LSc to Sipura 2.0.9 FW, unlocked the adapter (feeding it a plain-text XML file), and then reverted to Linksys 3.1.3 Firmware, you were left w/ an unlocked adapter containing a Vonage updated GPP_K value (i.e. not the FACTORY FRESH GPP_K value). The suggestion I made did not require you to upgrade to Linksys firmware 3.1.6 but to perform a FACTORY RESET with Linksys firmware 3.1.6 or lower installed on your adapter. When you had Linksys firmware 3.1.3 installed, that firmware version was fine. No matter, having upgraded to 3.1.6 doesn't pose a problem.

I also fed the following xml files with no luck:

No

Linksys 3.1.6 firmware, the version which you claim is in your adapter, will not process plain-text XML files. That's not the "unlock" method you should now use.

It seems I am sooo close but still very far. Can anyone please help? I swear I read all the posts and spend the whole weekend doing this. All I want now is to access it using admin but it seems it is not working.

Please help.
Follow the UNLOCK INSTRUCTIONS in the OP (ORIGINAL POST) of this thread (i.e. what's in the BLUE BOX). You may want to FACTORY RESET your adapter first to ensure its web-server is enabled and its FACTORY FRESH GPP_K value is loaded.

Unlocking gurus, what about unlocking an Aastra 390 screenphone that was initially distributed through Packet 8?

Do I perform a factory reset on the phone then do the unlocking procedures? Just want to make sure beforehand.

Sorry if the answer is somewhere in this GIGANTIC thread, I just didn't have time to search through the entire thing.

This is a PAP2 unlocking thread, not an Astra 390 unlocking thread. I doubt a solution has been posted in here as it doesn't belong here. I suggest you start a new thread (or bump an old one if it exists).

Hi rizzo2dial, would my GPP_K value be considered factory fresh if I just performed the unlock procedure on a virgin 2.0.12 PAP2, which upgraded it to 3.1.3? I haven't messed with the firmware after unlocking it except to input my voip provider info.

There is a very easy way to find out. Just download your root XML file and try to decrypt it with the GPP_K you have (use either VuckFonage or OpenSSL). If it decrypts successfully, then you have the factory GPP_K for your ATA; if not, then you don't, and you'll need to factory reset the unit and redo the unlocking procedure at the start of this thread to obtain it.

Thanks DogFace05, I tried using VuckFonage but I'm getting an error message that says: Socket Error # 10060 (ConnectionTimedOut). I'm using Pumpkin TFTP as my tftp server, and I'm filling in all of the fields correctly in VuckFonage. Are there any ports I need to open up on my router to get it to work correctly?

The question above should really be posted in the VuckFonage thread, but...

When using VuckFonage (or openssl), you don't need to access your local TFTP server (although if the encrypted XML file is properly hosted on there, it should work).

The "normal way" to use VuckFonage is to connect your PC to the internet and access Fonage's TFTP server. Also, ensure that any firewall software on your PC is either configured to permit VuckFonage internet access or is temporarily disabled (so that it doesn't interfere w/ VuckFonage).

Thanks for the clarification rizzo2dial, and great tool. I was able to view the plain text version of the xml file, so I assume that means that the GPP_K value that I have stored is the correct one that I want?

Correct. If you were able to decrypt the file, you have your factory fresh GPP_K value.

You didn't understand what I asked for...
I can decrypt meister_sd config file, but this only shows me values for GPP_* where Vonage changed them(like GPP_K,GPP_D,etc), but it doesn't give me idea about previous values (values after factory reset, but before initial vonage config file).
Why do I need them? I need them, because first vonage file uses GPP_* values taken from factory reseted device, and based on their values, makes logical decisions (IF, ELSEIF, AND, OR). Vonage, updated some values as an action, after reading some of them (GPP_K,GPP_D,GPP_N, GPP_O, etc).

I ask for this, because I can't check it on my device, because as You may know, I've locked it unfortunately.
That's why I'm contriuting to this forum.

PS. I've found only meister_sd's mac and GPP_K information in this thread. Nobody else published it here. Knowing somebody's GPP_K is not enough as You may probably know.
What you've bee looking for has been posted and provided here by meister_sd. And, if you are not an ignorance, you would have read all posts in this thread to find out how to look for other GPP_* values that you want and won't even asked these all questions that have been asked before. I know this because I have followed up and read all the posts in this thread since day one! As a matter of fact, every now and then, I still have to go back to search and read some of them.

PS2. Thank You for some of You who pm'ed me their mac and GPP_K values.

PS3. Why GPP_K value from initial vonage xml file doesn't decrypt next xml file? Does anybody know?
Yes and the answer is in some of the posts here. If every newbie like you keep asking question like this and expecting readers to answer such a question, this will just make the thread longer and unbearably to read by others. Please read the posts here to find out. This question has been asked so many times.

PS. Please use the Spell Check button to check the speeling spelling on your article before posting it.
