Rob  is on point. And as a matter of fact many of AOL DSL subscribers connect to AOL without using their software - just take a look at this thread here: »How to use PPPoE connection on AOL!.

you won't be charged. AOL will still think you are connecting via their software. Back in the 90's I use to use dun to connect to AOL w/o their software. |

| i have jsut found a way of making aol ocnnect to the internet thru IE without using teh aol software... it wors adn i use the same aol username adn password.. but will i be charged another fee at all thru IE or will i be ok asd i am using aol still. thanks |
