I can agree with that.
OK, then let's extend that logic a bit.
Watching ads makes money for the networks. A PVR allows me to watch shows I might not be able to watch otherwise, due to time conflicts. Therefore, I have the chance to watch more ads, thereby making the networks more money.
So, if I have to watch these ads, why should I have to pay for a PVR subscription? Even if I'm expected to pay something for the convenience of easy time-shifting, scheduling, etc., it would seem that the networks whose shows I'm watching should kick in some toward my subscription to compensate me for watching ads I might not see if I didn't use the PVR. |
