HL2 online version would be CS Source and HL2 Deathmatch

HL2 is the best single player game though

BF2... very buggy still and many problems still not fixed after 2 patches already.

HL2 DAY OF DEFEAT: SOURCE I am downloading it rite now.

PREPARE FOR BATTLE!

Pre-purchase now and save 10%.
Then be set to play the moment it's released on September 26th.

Day of Defeat: Source is a ground-up rebuild of the popular WWII online action game that leverages the Source engine's advanced features, including HDR lighting.

bf2 for teamwork. hl2/cs source is just a fragfest.

I understand they are different games. That does NOTHING to impact the question. If you had to pick between the two, which one would it be?

What do you want? If they are 2 DIFFERENT games then it is what YOU are looking for. How can we decide for you? It is a game.

You want my pick? BF2 SUCKS.

I'd pick the one I'm playing now....BF2. It's run rock-solid on my machine without a hitch. I have no complaints on the game itself....some people just love to complain, is all. HL2 has been sitting down in the corner (via Steam) for a number of months. I'm not fond of it so far and don't play it much.....not worth my time, I guess.

There...you have my $.02 now. Hope it helps.

i will tell you to trust laz3rs opinion cause he is an avid gamer...
I will disagree with him on the BF2...it is buggy but if you can get it to work it should be flawless...its a fun game with a lot of incentives built into the game...such as ranks, and medals, badges, fun stuff...

CS:Source is a fragfest lol? What version do you play? More like BF2 is a fragfest/stats padding game.

HL2, as noted above, gets you both the single player and multiplayer of HL and CS:S as well. That's one single player and two multiplayer in one purchase.

That said, I'm totally addicted to BF2 now. Runs great on my comp, but YMMV as also noted above.

And yeah, go with LaZ3R See Profile's advice whenever you see it, and you can't go wrong.
