Detroit spent the past 30+ years giving us untold demonstrations of five-minute bad experiences. For many of us those experiences destroyed Detroit's reputation. We will be waiting for at least another 15 years to see if Detroit is really doing anything differently -- assuming they survive the near-death experience they're having now.
And that reminds me of another famous aphorism that may explain Detroit's sudden interest in the quality of their products. quote:
