Can you temporarily set a pc to ping the AP so the traffic never goes dead?
That's the only solution so far I found so far

Did this just start happening?
Yes, the AP had been turned on maybe 20 minutes at most and it just started.

After it drops the clients, can they still get back on if they try to initiate any sort of traffic?
No, I was thinking they could, but the connection is dead until a site survey is done on the AP. Once that is done if traffic is constant enough to beat the expire timer... everything is fine

The problem with the 2300 has been identified as a WLAN driver bug in the realtek driver, and we are waiting for the fix from them. This is the first time we have had this problem come up for the 1300, which is a different WLAN driver.

What is the X in the X amount of time? Do you see it at specific intervals?

Also, please install the latest firmware (1.6.4) from this site:

Scroll to the bottom of the page for 1.6.4.

Let us know if you continue to have problems!

Yes, it counts down second by second...Even after a 1.64 upgrade it's still doing it.. It used to never count down till this started. If there's traffic on the AP all works fine

Sounds new to me too. What clients are you using? How many? What version of the firmware?
I'm using firmware 1.63. I have two 1300's as clients and one Linksys Wet11. Everybody stays associated, then everyboy gets dropped after X amount of time. Do a site survey on the AP..... Everybody comes back again.
Could this help? If you go to show clients, you see they are conntected...... But the expired time is counting down... When it runs out....... they all drop.

This happens to us with the 2300's if the SSID is not broadcast. We have several 1300's without that issue though. Try broadcasting the SSID see if it helps.

Haven't seen it, but for an AP that is intolerable.

You need to replace it. I'm sure Caleb will work with you on that. Since the 1300 is discontinued, you might want to trade up to a 2300 while you're at it!
I'll see what he has to say... Thing is as long as there's "activity" on it... It won't fall asleep

I have a 1300 as an AP, works well, except sometimes it "drops" all clients...... go in the ap, do a site survery and it reassociates all. Thie is a new one.... anyone else seen this issue?
