F.Y.I - anybody having problems with the intel 2200 - THE SAME PROBLEMS occur with the intel 2915 card...... Yes, it's definitley an intel problem
I hadnot looked at this site for a month now. I was using the intel Wireless Driver 9.0.1.21 and I have had continuous problems......... On and off....
Just loaded this site tonight for the first time in a month and saw that there is a new version of intel Wireless Software..... Ver 9.0.2.31 --- So I downloaded it and what a surprise ---- the whole installation is now automated and super easy..... On top of that I am now experiencing Superb constant 54 mbsec transmission rates....
Fantastic !!!!!!!!!:):):):):):):):):) |

| Happyman, thank you for the information. Your suggestion for the latest drivers worked wonders for my 2200 BG connection. One thing to add, at least for my experience, is that I had to turn on the Wireless Zero Configuration service since it did not automatically start. I have a HP nc6120, running a fully patched XP Pro installation. |

| I have 2200Bg intel Wireless Pro in Dell 600M and recently a brand new Latitude D610 and I can not get logged onto my domain. It seems that the wireless card searches for a signal after I log onto the laptop. It takes about 10 seconds for the card to detect the WAP, even when logging on locally. Dell has no idea. So the brand spanking new latitiude d610 goes back to mama. |

| If you are in a "Mixed Environment" that is broadcast and non broadcast ssid'd the intel card will try to match the profile with the first ssid it gets and doesn't keep trying. With the ciscomode reg hack the card will get the first ssid and if it doesn't match will continue to try and find the ssid that goes with the profile. Version 10 of proset does have a checkbox to either turn on or off cisco mode but it doesn't make any difference with the registry nor does it fix the issue. It appears that intel has the CiscoMode in their drivers but did not enable it because it lengthens the pre logon. |
