Really? I thought their prices were pretty good. 160 all-digital channels for under $40? I can't get that with Adelphia, that's for sure!

I just did a quick comparison with my cable TV bill and it would cost $102.75 to have pretty much the same channels and packages and set top boxes as what I am paying Comcast $122.92 for. Fairly close considering Verizon is just rolling out this service and hasn't yet gotten into the twice a year increases that cable companies are used to doing.

$20 is still savings. It'll cover the cost of my 500 min plan for Vonage.

One think to keep in mind with FIOS, is that you are REQUIRED to use them for phone service also. Where Cable companies you do not have to use the. For Example, Cox Cable does not require you to purchase Thier phone package if you get Thier High Speed Internet or Cable.
With FIOS, you have to use Thier phone for Cable or Internet. No ifs, ands, or Buts..
my 2 cents.

That's news to me. I've been on FIOS in Rowlett, Texas, since Feb 2005. At the time, I was using Comcast digital phone service and was never even asked to switch to Verizon phone service when I requested their FIOS Internet service. Still haven't been, and still on Comcast phone.
