[Equipment] QOS routers

I see many posts referring to the Linksys WRT54G as a recomended QOS router, but it seems to cost about 50$. Are there any (cheaper) alternatives (ie: Dlink, which has a discount on buy.com right now)

the power consumption though would really not be worth it, not to mention this is for my mother who has limited troubleshooting abilities
