New York City has Cablevision, Timewarner, and RCN (cometimes the latter 2 compete). No Comcast around here. |

| reply to ctaul In response to the above post - that is a little strange not to have a contact number on the site. Perhaps they only deal with the management of the MDU's that they service? Still it is a little strange not to have a number to contact.
As for FIOS running to apartments - that is great. I think the whole thing about this company is that they are willing to bring these advanced services to people that Verizon and Comcast (sorry - not sure who NY uses for cable) are not willing to bring the service to. FIOS is great for the people that Verizon is willing to invest in the network upgrades for. Digital cable is great for those that can get it. I think that this whole idea about this company is that they are willing to bring these services to people that the BIG companies are stating are economically not viable.
Perhaps this small company will show the Verizon's and Comcasts in this country that perhaps it is economically viable? Perhaps not. Either way - I hope that this company is able to stay afloat and prove their business model. If they do, then perhaps there will be more choices for all of us. Choices can never be a bad thing for any of us. |
