Beware....Videotron deceptively expensive

I just cancelled my internet access with Videotron.

At $24.95 per month it seems the fairly cheap...but with a 1GB up/download cap, you can easily end up paying several times that. Videtron charges an extra $0.0076 cents per exceeding megabyte...

Your monthly supplementary can be as much as $99.00. Read the fine print!!!

Videotron management needs to revise their billing structure...but they probably won't, cause they think most consumers will just shut up and pay their bill...

Sorry guys...not for me....I moved to AEI internet ADSL with no cap at $29.95 per month and am happy thus far.

Hum... Why did you think that cap was there for in the first place?

Anyway when you don't read what you signing don't come complaining about it later... They even put it in bold letter in some place to draw your attention there so that you can read that if you go over, you will be charged for and how much it will cost you... They also put it on every bill you get by mail under your monthly consommation...

Please go play somewhere else Mr. Troll...

CSR warn you about it when you sign up, they even leave a note in your file saying that they warned you. Troll.

Your not a casual user, why sign with their casual user plan in the first place?

Videotron as been my since the day they started offering cable in my area (6 years ago.) and then signed up for Extream when it got released. No complaints comming from my side, getting files at 750 Kbyte/s always brings a smile to my face.

AEI is said to be unlimited, but it's not. If you download enough, they will cut you off without warning. Apparently, you can download more than unlimited...

I been a AEI customer. Yes, service is unlimited but they do count your monthly up and down bandwidth. Back in june 2003 when I dumped them, they were cutting me off every 48 hours to do the count. Not a very nice thing to do for an IRCer like me.
Back then, I was told that their service is unlimited because they don't charge extra, but please don't use too much, like uploading and downloading day and night, else: cut off!

RadioActif is the a reseller of AEI. Avoid.
