Well, I just checked a friend of mines number, and it says FIOS is available, but at the normal prices 179.99 or whatever high price it was. Wonder what we can do to get that...

If that pricing is not a mistake, then we should see this price go official within the next month. -- Firefox is better than your browser! | foamy | I'm psycho |

| reply to AJ023 It will be interesting to see how Verizon handles this for customers like myself that have had the service going on a year. I'm really wondering if they plan to increase the speed for the static business customers. We are always last to get those deals.
What would anyone ever do with 30/5? |

| reply to Vamp You would think so, but many companies have "special" rates to areas with high competition, which do not become nationwide. Unfortunatley if VZ thinks OOL is a big enough threat over there in NY/NJ, then they will give this deal. However, here in TX, there is nothing out there that can really compare with 15/2 so VZ can sit back and keep the prices.

| reply to AJ023 spke to a tech friend of my and he states so far only for Long Island OOl region. OOL is supposed to go to a 20/2 tier sometime this fall and this is to compete with it. Love competition. I never believed that it costs over $100 dollars to increase speeds. |

| reply to SuperG03 Of course... I had to check myself to see if it had been updated for Carrollton (Dallas) Texas... NOPE... nothing has changed.
I never really thought I would ever say this... I really have no complaints whatsoever with the 15/2. I am not really sure I would change. We will see.

The next area I could see this, besides the OOL market, is probably in N VA where Comcast and Cox are having to up their speeds to compete with FIOS. Then perhaps other areas where the competitors are upping their speeds to the FIOS 15/2 package. In a year or so it could be nationwide, just a wait and see approach right now. |

But, you have to have another company with similar speeds I'd imagine. Lowering the price in areas that only have 3-6mb dsl/or cable would cost them a bundle of lost revenue. -- OutKast Clan |

I am not sure it will even take a year... I believe that Verizon's main focus right now is getting their Video Service rolled out. However, once this new pricing gets publicized I think they might be pressured in offering it across the board. They have been pretty good about making FIOS customers happy. |

1 edit | reply to Tzale Can anyone confirm if this deal is for new customers or existing ones?
I have the 15/2 plan now for $49.95, and will gladly pay $54.95 for 30/5.
Edit: I'd do it myself, but the company I work for is insane about using their fractioned T-1 for business purposes only.
