Hibernia - Free MMORPG

Game I found while browsing through mmorpg toplists one day. The download link for the game client can be found at http://hiberniagaming.net (Downloads -> Clients -> Hibernia 1D). Fun game and it's completely free, though you can also donate for some perks. If you need any help in-game, just PM penguin.

Friendly community, custom sprites, 35+ skills, an active staff, and the rest of this MMORPG's content makes your time in this game worthwhile.

here's a screenshot if you want to see what the game is like... : http://saturn.walagata.com/w/sbf/aaascreenieAD.PNG (if the screenshot doesn't load, then go to the Screenshot section of the homepage for a preview of the game)

There's always the forums if you're having problems with the game, too. Hope to see you in the game!:p

Wanna know why it's a "Completely free" mmo? Because it's 2D, and can support billions of people at a time. Why would anyone even play this at this age in compueter games?

If it's fun for some people, why not.

I think there's still people playing text ones.

No offense, but there are a 1000 more free games out there. Check out mmorpg.com. There are fully 3D 100% free games that can support thousands of players....

This is kinda, well, vintage.

I used to play Hibernia last month, but I quit it after most of the staff, several players, and even the game owner were immature to almost bombard the MagiKnights forum with posts containing the link to that game. The MagiKnights owner signed up at the forum and probably wanted to post about this incident, but the Hibernia owner banned him before he could post anything. I tried to stray the game owner from doing this immature act by asking him an important question about the game a few times and didn't reply back to me. Even before the whole incident occured, I asked him that same important question in the forum's PM and didn't reply back, even when he was on it.

Therefore, a "friendly community" is somewhat misleading and I wouldn't recommended this game to anyone.

I expect that with the amount of games currently out today, that graphics be a key factor to gaming. I wouldn't want after all these years of UT2007 pics, and BF2, and Stalker, (etc...) to have a game like Mario released at this time in computer games.

Graphics and Gameplay are the two biggest things that make up whether or not a game is fun/good. Gameplay is usually more important but some people like me also need good graphics to keep up with the game itself especially knowing there are games that have a much higher graphic level than the one I may end up playing.

I dont get it you absolutely need good graphics in order for u to want to play a game? So i guess dont judge a book by its cover doesnt apply? Its complete bs, you cannot judge something based on its looks.

How would one make it in life if thats all they did. If you base your job, your wife, your children, everything you do and have based on its looks then how can you lead a normal life.

I mean okay its fair to say, yeah having some graphics are nice. But for you to want to play a game and keep up with it your saying it absolutely needs good graphics? So what your saying is if a game is 2d you wont touch it? Cause based on your first post you made it seem like the game was a monster just cause of its graphics.

I'm judging by the screenshot, not a cover of a book, and judging is usually a personal opinion and I don't understand why you find my own personal opinion valid. I can judge how ever the heck I want, shouldn't bother any other person, if it bothers you too bad I guess because I don't see how it affects you.

People have different opinions, always keep that in mind.

Okay so its alright i get it, any game that cant be maxed out is shitty and therefore not a good game.

No, Any game that requires very little effort graphical wise is just a game I don't see myself playing. Not sure why you are so defensive about something like this as I never called the game shitty and bad.

You made it seem that way when you went on to say. "Why would anyone even play this at this age in compueter games?"

I was hoping people would understand I was just implying on that sentence and when Tzale got 100% right on what I was trying to hint at, I thought there wouldn't need to be an explanation about that remark of mine.

"No offense, but there are a 1000 more free games out there. Check out mmorpg.com. There are fully 3D 100% free games that can support thousands of players...."

That's what he said and is what my sentence had behind it

Once again, I nevered trashed the game, and by saying that, is not "trashing" the game.

On the graphics note, I don't mind bad graphics, as long as the gameplay is good.

Classics are made by the gameplay, not by the graphics. I still play SC and CS 1.6, not because of the graphics, but because of the gameplay.

It's all personal preference really, I can understand that if you buy a top of the line card, you'd want to get your money's worth.

To me, I look at gameplay and if it has good graphics, it's a bonus.

On topic, that Hibernia game just doesn't seem that good. If you're looking for a free MMORPG, PristonTale was a good one I used to play. Not sure if it's still around though, should be.
