:As Google continues to roll out Beta after Beta of new tools and services, I detect a dropping off of quality and a reduction in the usefulness of their offerings. Now that they are investor driven I think they are trying too hard to continually come up with new products. Their main product - Google Search - is still the standard search tool everyone uses. But their other products are no longer the best and have a lot of competition. I suspect they are starting to spread themselves too thin to make investors happy. If any of these rumors are true, I do believe they are getting out of their area of expertise.
I haven't used any of their other products outside of e-mail, but I have to say that even their search engine's quality is starting to disappoint me. It seems like every other search I've done lately has resulted in majority commercial websites trying to turn a quick profit off the Google searches--and I'm not even counting the paid links at the top of the Google results.
