If you didn't notice or didn't receive it, the July edition of Adelphia's HSI newsletter included a link to a 2 question poll about spam. I'd recommend everyone to go to that link and fill out the survey.

Why do you guys think it's so important,doesn't Adelphia have a clue as to how much spam is being received ?...I am assuming that they filter some ISP's and/or subnets ? are they attempting to see if this works ?
I'll make one comment,the amount of spam from Adelphia addys is increased at least 500 % I don't know if this is from forged headers,zombie machines,or just account holders using the network to spam but I am at the point of blacklisting all Adelphia e-mail addys even though many of my friends are Adelphia customers.

I receive NO spam on my Adelphia account. Once you get one piece of spam, it's an all uphill battle from there. Blacklisting an entire domain is definitely not the answer, in fact, it causes more headaches. Some ISP's DO block entire domains and Adelphia is on certain ISP blacklists. Any ISP that blocks an entire domain needs to re-evaluate their entire IT dept.

Maybe they just want to know how Brightmail is doing. According to this article they're not even saving the dreck long enough for us to decide if is really spam or not.

Does anyone really care what Chris Pirillo and his groupies think anymore?
It's a catch 22 situation complaints if people get spam and now complaints because they don't get it.

It's a good thing Mr. Partridge is an authority on the subject. I should forward him some of the 30 or 40 emails I have over the past few years from Adelphia about the spam filter, and the link to the page to turn it on or off. I have lost more and more faith in the Lockergnome Gestapo over the years due to misinformation such as this.
I really get so sick and tired of some people and these spam complaints. Here's Adelphia taking a survey to see how their current methods are working, or not working, presumably to take strides to make things operate better. And they get slammed for that!! God forbid they take initiative, what bastards.
