It's the law, fool !!!

Despite the ignorant lead in opine to this story suggesting that lobbied elected officials are wrong for prosecuting illegal P2P activities and video game mfgs., the fact is the activities of scumbag P2P operators who facilitate illegal distribution of copyright protected materials and pornographic games intended for sale to minors, IS A VIOLATION OF LAW.

Denial doesn't change that, so those in DENIAL can expect to find themselves in a prison cell.

And those who bash the legislative and judicial branches of government for making appropriate laws and enforcing them are in serious DENIAL.

Time to get a grip on REALITY folks.

Excuse, the public Internet facilitates the same activity. Maybe you should try looking in a mirror for once. And even with P2P the activities will not stop so the only thing you have accomplished is one of many, many means to an end.

Its not that individuals want to support and stop the activities, but I take a heck of a lot more offence to 'bought' politicians that lobbyists achieve stance-victory with that and tantamount to a "By Now' ad on eBay.

Bashing the government for making "appropriate" laws isn't what most people are doing if you could see past the words on the page. The vast majority of people who sound off about the silly-assed posturing that keeps rolling out of Washington are fed up with paying the salaries of these elected officials who spend so much time addressing trivial issues while ignoring the real problems facing the country. Senator Boxer is and has been one of the most useless additions to the senate in the past 30 years. She hasn't voiced an educated or informed stance on a piece of legislation since she arrived, she knows all the buzz words to keep the money rolling in but couldn't answer the simplest question related to an issue she supports. I can't speak on other members of congress as I live in California and tend to focus on my home state. If you doubt the shallowness of Mrs. Boxer, come live in Ca. for a year or two and you will find out how pathetic our elected officials have become. The safety and well being of the country will not be affected in any way by P2P issues, yet that's where the money lies. Perhaps if congress gave as much attention to important (I think each person can think of issues they view as crucial) issues they would have little time for the crap that keeps hitting the headlines like P2P.

The internet alone gives access to porn, let alone P2P. Google "bewbies" with the adult filter off (or maybe on even, it gets through at times!) and behold the marvel that is the internet!

P2P is an inefficient and frankfully a slow way of getting porn. If any kid wants porn, all they have to do is use the search engine with the filters off and bingo, they have thousands upon thousands of hits to wade through. Then there's usenet newsgroups - the binaries section is at least one-quarter porn/nudity related and account for at least a third of the total volume of data there.

Using KaZaa, WinMX, or eDonkey to get porn is pointless, it's like having someone videotape a sunset for you when you have an easy unobstructed view of the western horizon at the same time.
