[General] VoIP providers with Canada and US area codes

HI,
I am looking for economical VoIP providers in Canada that provide both Canadian and US area codes. Any recommendations? I know Vonage provides US and Canada numbers, however, in Canada Vonage charges $20 shiiping fee, $40 activation fee and a %50 disconnection fee. This is a rediculous amount of "one time" fee. Any other options out there?

Sorry, I meant a $50 disconnection fee.

There might be the odd company that offers some limited-time specials, but for the most part those are pretty standard costs. Broadvox Direct runs $71 or so (US$) and VOIP.net is $66.85 (again, US$). Both of those companies have US and Canadian numbers and I believe both ship to Canada and will accept a Canadian credit card - Broadvox Direct definitely will. The different in monthly cost though is fairly substantial - $19.95 for VOIP and $29.95 for BVX.

Your source of info is incorrect. There is no $50 disconnection fee when you sign with vonage.
You can also check out primus and acanac and let us know your choice.

There is a cancellation fee with Vonage. However, in Canada they refund the cancellation fee once they receive the Phone adpater back from you.

I have been using www.internationalnumber.com for approx. 3 months and I am really happy with their service. Customer service is quick and helpful, I have had no down time sine I signed on with them and I get clear quality unlimited local calling (even though they use the G729 codec) + toll free calling North America for $7.95 along with features and I can use my own device

www.msmnetphone.com has both USA & Canadian area codes.
They charge $29.99 + shipping for activation and there are no other charges or cancellation fees.
Monthly is $24.99 total for USA, Canada & UK.
I know a few guys in Toronto that use them and they are happy.
