Grounding

I need somebody to tell me I did this right. I installed on top of a 130' steel water tower. The tower has steel pipe going into the ground, plus the bolts that attach it to the ground. I grounded my mounts as well as the enclosure and lightning arrestors to the vent cap (part of the solid structure). I then attached a piece of #3 to the overflow pipe at the bottom (also part of the steel structure) - I ran that to a ground rod just to be sure. I attached that to a piece of number six that ran to my ground level enclosure. There it attaches to it, as does my electrical service ground. I attached the Cat5 drain on both ends. Since everything is attached there should not be a difference of potential, should there??? Can you think of anything else to ground? I think I covered it all.

The tower itself is probably grounded as much as possible. As long as you are bonded to the tower metal, you should be good.

Is there any type cathodic protection for the tower? Whoever supervises and maintains the tower should know this...

Can you post a picture?
There are two separate issues. One is Electrical safety NEC, and the other is lightning protection.
Is your installation on the very top? Is a lightning strike probable?
Parts called "lightning arresters" are rarely that, and if a strike is likely you may need to review your installation.
