That's fine that you have that opinion. I looked into alternatives but found that Comcast was best for me since no one else had the Outdoor Channel (It's a must have in our household since it's the only channel with Monsters of Destruction and I have a seven year old monster truck fanatic). Everyone has an option to have cable tv, internet, phone, etc. None of those things are a God given right and, although a phone makes for a safer life, it's still not necessary to live.
I say that if you don't want cable or cable internet then get something else. It's totally up to you. You're the consumer in control of what you buy.
All companies price their product to make a profit. That's the whole point. It's the same thing as "get a $9.99 toy watch for $1.99 with three proofs of purchase!". Why don't they just sell the watch at $1.99 to people who don't buy three whompadoohickies?. Because it's an incentive to buy those other three things. ALL companies do it.
Edit: There no reason for sorrow but thanks for the sentiment. |

| reply to entropy1 said by entropy1 :I don't get why so many people feel insulted that those who subscribe to a better cable package get a better price on internet. Isn't a company entitled to set it's pricing as it sees fit? They know many people refuse to pay the price for cable when they can get it somewhere else cheaper. (i pay $25.00 less for dtv w/tivo than what i would for digital cable + dvr. And no, it's not worth paying $25.00 for video on demand. sorry!) -- "I'm not bright, big words confuse me, I have the attention span of a rodent and Wanda loves me anyway! And that should be enough for you!" |
