| No, I use NIS 2005, but uninstalled it because the Insight Tech said CCproxy.exe could possibly be the reason for the slow down. Rebooted and did a test with absolutely no firewall and got same results. I then found the "Speed Problems" Thread that related to me directly.
»Speed Problems
It ticks me off that they blame the customer for poor speeds, when they know it is their upgrades that are causing the problems. I wasted hours trying to troubleshoot my system, after they practically refused to schedule a service call saying they don't guarantee speeds, and threatened to charge me $50 if the tech did not find anything. So I balked on my demand for a service call, and kept digging thru my PC looking for the non-existent needle in a haystack.
I finally confronted the fourth tech with the Speed Problems thread, and he freely admitted that the poor speeds were due to the upgrade, and should be remedied by the middle of August.
One of the other guys got a free month. But I was repeatedly lied to, and wasted hours troubleshooting a problem they knew did not exist. I want to be fairly compensated for my futile efforts. Any Advice?
Thanks! |
