| Monitor Turns on but Nothing Appears
Hey there...
I got a problem with my Dell 8100 and a dell monitor. Now i was having issues with the memory , so i replaced it with a backup set of 512mb i had. But when i installed the memory and plugged all the cords back in , but monitor would be all black. Now i have nvidia geforce 2 32 mb video card. Now im positive its not the monitor , because i tried the dell monitor on my ibm and it worked . The video card seems to fit into the slot okay and it isnt loose . So what could be the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. |

| reply to Mucks Disable onboard video. Use only one stick of ram in the first slot. Set bios to your graphics card type (agp, pci, pci-e.) Maybe pull out the graphics card and reseat it. Are the ram sticks the same type (ecc, non-ecc)? -- In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on. --Frost |
