| [SunRocket] Does SR ever bill you on time?
I've been a SunRocket customer now for a few months. Last month I received an email stating that my on file credit card would be billed for the monthly amount on the 26th of June.
To this date 07/22/05 I have yet to be billed. I have sent emails to billing and builditbetter at sunrocket.com without any reply.
When I go to view my statements on the website, it shows this statement as current with a billed date of June 26th with a zero dollar amount.
Previous statements for April and May show properly.
I'm wondering if they will ever bill me or not. I use a checking account which I only keep funds for these types of charges in.
Of course my service is still working fine!
Anyone had this experience? |

| Yep, That is what I thought would happen!
So much for having a perfect budget!
I guess I'll ask to go to a yearly plan again. I originally signed up for the annual plan and somehow it was screwed up. So I politely asked to be put on the annual rate plan and they had no problems with that. After two months of no bill, I asked to just leave it as is. Now it is going on two months again with no charge! I have no problems with paying them but I wonder how they make any money? Other than out-sourced tech support, I think the whole thing may be run by just a few people.
I'm not trying to bash them either. I like the service as it usually works here just fine! |

From what I understand about 6 weeks ago there were about 45 to 50 people working for the company in Vienna, VA. That was what I gathered from several sources. They outsource to CallTech for Level 1 customer service. Of course, some of the 50 people are responsible for marketing, some for accounting, engineering, higher level tech support, etc. Also, within the last 6 weeks they may have had to hire extra for in-house due to growth, but I am not sure. This is not as small a company as you seem to believe (i.e. the now defunct Livevoip ran out of someone's home) but it is not as big as Vonage, obviously. Still, outside of maybe Vonage it is doubtful that any of the other VOIPs have more in-house staff than that, also considering that CallTech is worth about 30 or 40 additional "warm bodies" if you had to hire Level 1 in-house. |

| I'm sorry, I did not intend to make it sound like I was sure it was a small mom and pop shop ran from someones basement. I was simply stating that it seems like a small operation.
If what you say is true then I'm totally wrong and I take back everything bad I've ever said.
I've had issues with SR before but nothing serious at all. Some caller ID issues as well as a recent billing issue but not enough to make them bad. |
