Superfetch

Well there is already one "Longhorn Enhancement" floating around the Microsoft forum that just happens to work for XP too if you turn it on. And Windows Vista? Can't we just go back to Windows 2006.

Not to meantion with the OS DRM inclusions, they might as well already bundle it as Windows: Crap Edition.

Only 15% faster launch?

Windows will never be as fast as my first computer, with it's O/S built-in on a ROM CHIP!!! Turn it on, and it's ready instantly! GIVE ME BACK THOSE DAYS!

Yeah...nothing like "computing" without pictures, sound, colors other than green or white, and, oh yeah, mp3's

You might want to know that Superfetch is all just a placebo effect. All people are doing is creating a registry key that does absolutely nothing in XP.

IRQ 0 BS

If you give IRQ 0 higher priority then your computer will boot in less than 1 second! You can even get several quadrillion RC5-72 keys checked per second with it! Even on a 386!

Blue?

I guess didn't forget it, I don't ever recall seeing it. My earliest computing experiences go back as far as Apple IIs (green) and TRS-80s (b&w) in the late '70s and amber in the early 80s.

Maybe blue came before or after?

I don't know if it came before or after, but it was around in the early 80s. Obviously, it wasn't as popular as the green, white or amber ones.
Has anyone ever seen a red monochrome CRT?

What Windows Vista equals

My mom used to own an Eagle Vista, which is the same car as that colt pictured above, except replace the 'COLT' nameplate on the front with the Eagle logo, and on the back it said Eagle on the left side and Vista on the right side above the tail lights. What a slow piece of shit that car was, a carburated 1.5L... ouch!

I never have. But, I used to do level 2 tech support many years ago on this really large red/orange plasma displays that could display 4 different sessions on the same screen.

DRM = Crap is right. There is no damn way I am ever going to spend on an OS that limits me more in the future than today or in the past!

Hehe.... I remember that from 10 years ago:

"And Windows 95?? Can't we just call it 4.0?"

And i'm right. I'm always right, but this time I'm a little more right then I usually am.
