| reply to iamaguest When you get it, don't forget to retweak. I would start at 128480. If that does give you close to 20mb down, go up to 192720 in 16060 increments. You really should not have to go higher than that.
Please post back on what RWIN you settle on.
Also, the regular speeds tests won't work for crud, so use an FTP DL to get your speeds.

As the line rate goes up (say past 10mb or so down), XP just does not know what to do. The VZ FIOS folks talked to M$ and they recommended something like 356XXX or something like that.
Cox has gone to 15/2 in some areas and XP did not go over the 65xxx number. Some folks have used 128480 while others are using something around 156xxx. -- Ninety percent of the game is half mental. Yogi Berra |

I'm pretty sure that's how it works. I could be mistaken though. |
