The T-series products have been around for about 18 months now.
They have been widely distributed around the world, but have only relatively recently been available in N America. There are a small number of posts in this forum about them, most from Europe.
The DSL-504T is a 4 port router/switch with a built-in ADSL modem. This style of all-in-one device is very popular in Europe. I'm in England - it's quite difficult here to find an external ADSL modem with Ethernet connection. Everyone seems to prefer the all-in-one design - certainly the price is lower that way!
I have a couple of these devices (a DSL-300T modem and the DSL-G604T wireless router - same as the DSL-504T but with wireless). They're fine - I have no problems.
Like all similar devices, they are reliable when they are running good, reliable firmware. I'm not sure what firmware version will be installed on a device bought in the US or Canada.
The most recent firmware has been released by D-Link Australia, which includes an upgrade to ADSL2+ (the device supports ADSL lines up to 24 Mbit/s) and includes SNMP.
As far as problems go, I'm aware of two (common to many router brands I might add). Find a copy of a recent post which describes them + workrounds here:

I have used various D-Link products for over 4 years. The biggest problem I have found, and one which manifests itself with a variety of symptoms is excessive heat. They love to be kept cool. When the environment is over 80 degrees I will put a small fan near the radio. Seems to clear up the re-boot and lock-up problems that are so common. Wish I had the luxury of a hardware store close enough to drive to ! |

Cannot comment on that specific device. I would like to comment on Tiger Direct. I have had them sell me refurb / repackaged hardware as new hardware without notice. Have found them to be a bit smelly in general. If you like tiger direct, don't listen to me. Otherwise, I recommend buying it from NewEgg. They are an excellent company to do business with, and are $38 bux less on the same product. I'm not trying to be political. Just looking out for your best interest.
