I believe everyone will go to voip within a year even telcos..... Just wondering my insightbb speeds have been wavering badly..... How's your voip working for you during slow periods? |

| Most telco have been using VOIP on the backend of things for some time now. Or at least this is how I understand things. I honestly don't see the old way of doing phone calls going bye bye to quickly. But I do feel the industry is in the process of seeing some changes.
I very rarely if ever have speed related issues. But quality for phone is almost always 100%. Keep in mind that the Insight service would run on separate bandwidth and offer a battery backup. Although you'd have to use their chosen modem. These are a few things to consider when looking at VOIP. 911 is still an issue for many VOIP users. In some communities this isn't to big of a deal. If your dispatch for emergency services are all in one building.
