| reply to IGGY Re: [News] Notification of Network Maintenance
I got the same notice for here (Richmond, Indiana) a while ago. The problem was, that after the maintenance my speeds went to hell for about two weeks afterwards. Lets hope it doesn't happen where you live |

Well since early this morning when maintenance started. My speeds have been reporting very low on the speed test - using the Chicago IL test from Speakeasy and others there.
Download Speed: 1708 kbps (213.5 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 471 kbps (58.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
I did an OOL ftp test this morning and saw similar results. I'm going to look at some things on my end and see if I can't resolve the problem. Browsing seems perky. But I'm not sure that everything is at should be.

Same result I was seeing early this morning. Normally no matter what time of day. I get 600 or actually way above that on that test. I rebooted the modem this morning after things came back online. Guess I'll try that again.
Everything is looking ok on my end though. -- Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help |

| reply to IGGY I think this maintenance broke something. I'm still seeing horrid results with real world downloads and when doing speed test. If this is considered helping the overall quality of the network. Please put things back they way they were. The network worked great for me before this supposedly helpful service work. -- Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help |
