Is it back up now? Their website appears to be functioning better now...it was choking and not showing call records previously.
Now my calls from outside lines show up as missed calls. |

| reply to mph300 As a marketing person by trade (not telecom), I find VOIP service levels interesting. The old Bell standard, as I recall, was 99.4% dialtone. I'll bet that number for VOIP is pretty close to 99%, and yet every service outage seems to produce real agitation. Makes you understand why adoption is still pretty low -- even in the face of 50% comparative cost savings. |

| reply to sdrum I don't think anyone is overreacting to the outages just because it's VOIP. I never had outages with POTS unless there was a tree that took the lines down in a storm or something, which was a very rare and understandable occurance. With SunRocket, we have this full outage today, no Caller ID for many days, constant problems with voicemail software and voicemail notification. And I've only had the service for a few weeks.

| reply to paulhaskew said by paulhaskew :Boy, some people... This is the first issue I have ever had with SunRocket in regards to actual service being down... Other than that mine has just been bandwith management issues all on my side... Don't jump ship just for a single problem... it happens to everyone... SBC has crappy phone service in Poway, CA where my office is located... We continually have issues with our POTS and DSL service... everything in the complex is new too... its crazy... Bottom line... Everyone has issues, it happens, its technology, don't bend to the incumbent Bells who have had over 100 years to get their technology to where its at... Uhh, this is not the first issue that most of us(the voip forum followers and SR customers) have had with SR service... everything worked fine for me too in the early stages before beginning the porting of my Sbc number over to SR. Since the porting order went in, SR service has been less than reliable! -- It's all about the G's |

| reply to mph300 SR website now says:
SunRocket is experiencing short interruptions in service in some areas. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Call logs are back on, and so is my voice light, but no dialtone . |

| reply to yitz98 I have dial tone but outbound calls do not complete correctly. Inbound calls ring on the phone, but the caller gets a message that the call could not be completed. When I pick up the inbound call, I get silence only. It's tottally f'd. -- Danieli Consulting LLC, Strategy and Brandinghttp://kdanieli.com |

The Gizmo does have the functionality to failover to POTS in the event of VoIP provider failure. However, SR has not implemented it in the Gizmo config. |

| reply to michiguide This is my first major outage as a SR customer. I just tried calling my line and it paused for about 30 seconds, then went to fast busy. I know they are using Global Crossings. Maybe it's a Global Crossing issue.
I just cancelled my DSL yesterday and will probably be porting over in the next few days or so.
So far, I am very happy with the service. Sound quality is great, features are as well. I really can't complain for $199. Hopefully they'll make it through the growing pains and become a top notch provider. So far, they're on the right track in my book.

| reply to msw2 I had inbound call issues for the past week as well. I would call my home number from my cell phone or a friend's house phone and the recording would say "all circuits are busy now".

I agree with the growing pains statement and that is why I have stuck with SR over the past 6 weeks or so. But I will say that I had only minimal problems before issuing an order to port my number to SR. The real problems have occurred since the porting order. Don't know if that has anything to do with the issue or not. Either way, SR is becoming less reliable by the day....:( -- It's all about the G's |
