Any Chance of Insight/ comcast speed upgrades

from front page

From one Comcast insider: "Regular tier moves to 6Mbps/384kbps, there will be a similar download with higher upload, then an 8Mbps/768kbps tier, and one more higher tier

any chance of insight going this way with its comcast connections

Who knows what Insight is thinking...but one thing is certain, the consumer is always the last to know.

I would certainly welcome higher speeds, I really want more upload, but will gladly take more download. A price break for the low teir would be just as good for me right now.

As always this depends on the competition within the area they are serving. I will say that in many places your going to see providers have to increase what they are offering speed wise. With little or no increase in the price they are charging for the service. This is do to the fact that FIOS ( fiber ) is starting to be rolled out in some areas. Yes this is still a very limited release of this technology. But it will create a need for an answer from the competition. Reading the OOL forum on this site. Is a very good example of what I'm talking about. You also have to take in to consideration that if Insight isn't going to compete on price. They had best be offering a much better service than the competition. Meaning faster and more reliable. And even then if users have a choice. The price may be the deciding factor.
