Not at all. The PowerPC is not slow all of sudden because of the announcement. Intel will simply have better processors in the FUTURE. That's why FUTURE Macs will be Intel based.

I would have felt betrayed if Apple had been hard-headed and continued to use PowerPC processors to just keep 'Intel Outside'.
