| I do not need a pitchfork. One I get to know my neighbors. Two if I see a vehicle in my neighborhood with somebody I do not know I will go out to investigate. I just strike up a friendly conversation asking dose this person lives there. If not I would suggest the person moves on. If it is a war driver, I record a license plate and call the police especially if the person tries to hide what he or she is doing. |

| Hey, I'm flammable! "If not I would suggest the person moves on." That's halirious. However, I think most people would just call the police and avoid confrontation. Unfortunately, one old geezer(older than even me) just couldn't resist and walked up to my truck one day as I was sitting outside a client's house with my laptop open. He was very nice and tried very hard not to appear interested in what I was doing. I found it heartening that this old dude was doing nothing more than being a good neighbor and keeping an eye on his neighborhood, just as any good citizen would. I was a bit disappointed that he didn't give me a hard time as I am very fond of messing with those with an attitude who think they know what they are doing (no offense to richardpor). I gave him my card just to reassure him and complimented him on his vigilance, as well as suggesting that perhaps just alerting the police might be a good idea in some situations rather than approaching a strange vehicle on your own. And yes, the police have driven by a few times while I was parked on some street but never stopped to talk to me, which is strange I guess, but this is America after all. -- If you can break it,I can fix it.Of course, It'll cost ya' |
