Can I install Tiger from a USB hard drive?

probably not... but it helps if we know what type of computer you are installing on.

The attention is in the details.

My wife has a 333MHz iMac and it will not take Tiger.
Hope that helps.

Evidently the installer for Tiger checks the hardware before installation. If you take a drive that already has Tiger installed and drop it into your hardware, it may work. YMMV.
