Saw this in the cool broadband section. I think he needs to be reasoned with and if all else fails--massive doses of ritalin. I saw the exorcist years ago and the similarity in behavior is amazing and this kid isn't acting. |

He will probably end up being traded for cigarettes when he get put in jail.
I don't know if I'd blame modern parenting, or a combination of that and cushy modern life.
In an agricultural society of the past he would have been up before sunrise to do chores, then maybe some school, then more chores - without which you'd likely get no food or 'the strap'. Even in an urban environment of the past there would be many chores a kid that age could do.
Either way, you'd be too tired to act like that stupid little brat I'd think, chemical imbalance or no.

I meant this to show one extreme on no punishment for behavior. The kid's behavior will probably be attributed to some chemical imbalance like you stated or developmental problem. maybe it is--but to me it looks like there was no early negative reenforcement at all and now he is beyond redemption. Could you sleep at night in the same house as that thing? How does he act in public or school? |
