If someone didn't already know this, and they paid someone...

I'll do it for half the qoute you get.
Hey bonehead... I just showed them how to do it. Why would they need you?!? Seriously... Don't forget about the "Upon reflection, I do not wish to post" option.

Now that I just taught you how to do something... I'll do it for half of what the other guy is charging. (Sounds like a genius idea to me).

I think you missed the point, I believe it was a joke.

It is a great picture and I'm sure many people are grateful for the photo..
Many people don't know the first thing about how the telephone wires get into the house, etc... yet they want to use VOIP( and that's a good thing, for all of us.)
I know I love to see a picture when I'm about to start unplugging wires.

I'd just like to see one thread that doesn't include someone's sarcastic joke that only takes up space on the page. That's all.

Edit: Just look at RMO... he's contributing in a good way.

A bit late here, but it was a joke. Someone needs to see the smiles eh?

I would just like to see a post without the jokes. Just information. Your post was the first reply. What will people think when they see your joke after my serious post?

They will think you can't take a joke.

That's what I thought too.

Anyway, great info here! Say, you mentioned you live in a condo, well me too, but I can't seem to find these boxes anywhere around our building.

I'm in a townhouse so it was easy since the box is right on the back wall. In condos many times they are locked in a common closet somewhere and you can't get to it. In that case you have to have the ILEC tech come out to disconnect the line.

Do what I did...wait until a hurricane comes, befriend the president of the condo association, and get a free set of key for everything from phone cabinets, fire alarms, and the dock full of boats, etc!
For condo's, they usually have some people living their on the committee etc, or whatever yours may call it. Befriending a few, if not done already, can surely get you in.
