It still needs some work IMO. I would like to be able to click a link with my middle mouse button and have it open a tab in the background. Also, when I am using the tabbed browsing in IE, I notice it creates another instance of IE on my taskbar. I guess it is the way it is implemented that causes that. The other thing, is that when I right-click, the option to open in a fore/back ground tab is located near the bottom of the properties list. It should be near the top next to the open in new window and all of that. It's nice, but it has a ways to go... going to personally stick with Firefox. |

is it just me, or does anyone else find this to be yet another way for Microsoft to try to take over the world???
Why do they have to build this functionality into the MSN toolbar, and not Internet Explorer itself? Can Google build their own toolbar that adds tabbed browsing? AOL? hmmm. |

I think the MSN toolbar is a sorry excuse for tabs. The transition is not at all smooth and when you click a link, it automatically opens in a new window, not a new tab.

I think it works very well, just to be a toolbar. Wish Google would implement this into their toolbar, as I don't really care for MSN's, but the tabs are a draw. |

I'll stick with AVANT browser, still using IE's engine, but more secure application of IE, as a skin to it, offers tab browsing, popup blocker, advert blocker, etc. |

The tab browsing is crude but better nothing. I uninstalled it though not because of tabbed browsing but because of that horrible desktop indexing! That thing started immediately and I had a hard time stopping it. I had to do it with Process Guard. Stupid thing and to start indexing before I had a chance to set it up and tell it not to index ever is awful. It drove me nuts. MS should never have combined the tabbed browsing with that. It kept trying to run and was crashing IE.

I tried both the MSN Toolbar and Maxthon, I'm sticking with Maxthon. Maxthon allows me to configure the browser the way I want it and it's just as fast as IE6.
When IE7 is released then I'll try it but this MSN Toolbar is just a failed attempt by Microsoft to integrate Tabbed browsing in IE (MS falling behind?). |
